I'm postin', I'm postin'!! :D Cig's are absolutely outrageous over here...you asked us all about the prices where we were. Here for a no name brand they are £9 (roughly $13.50 US) & the brand named ones are £12 (roughly $18 US). It's just disgusting! They do sell them also in packs of 10, but when you work out the costs per cig, they cost even more for the smaller packs. I know lots of folks on benefits over here who don't work, have between 2 and 6 kids, who smoke like there's no tomorrow and I don't know how they can afford to do it and still keep the kids fed, clothed, etc. Thankfully though, with the law that came in a couple of years ago now, there's no smoking in public places, and folks have to smoke outside, many are giving up as they don't like having to stand outside in the rain just to have a cig...by the way over here they are called fags.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I quit smoking when Terry and I first started dating. I used to smoke 3 packs of Newports a day!! That would be £36 (roughly $52 US) a DAY!!! HOLY FLIPPIN' CRAP!!
